Psalm 119 ג GIMEL — Let Me See a Miracle

A Ballad

--

A woman dances on a field of sand, throwing sand into the air to catch the light.

My soul is crushed with longing for
Your justice at all times,
So let me see a miracle:
Oh God, send me a sign.

I am a stranger in the earth:
Peculiar, strange, and queer.
God, do not hide Your truth from me,
And teach me not to fear.

When rulers sit and speak against
My life, my heart, my soul,
Oh God, rebuke their haughtiness
And curse their evil goal.

Remove from me reproach, contempt,
And teach me how to dance,
And You will be my love and joy
In every circumstance.

My soul is crushed with longing for
Your justice at all times,
So let me see a miracle:
Oh God, send me a sign.
