I am small, irrelevant
And yet, Your hands have moulded me,
And You have called me by Your Name,
And I will never be ashamed.

Your lovingkindness comforts me;
Your wisdom is my revelry.
Oh, let my heart be without blame,
And let me never be ashamed.

The scornful sneer, despise my deeds,
For they assail my life with lies;
They do not know the name they claim.
God, I will never be ashamed.

Let those who love You turn to me,
And let their hearts and souls be glad,
And let the haughty be ashamed,
And I will never be ashamed.

Esther learned to read when she was four years old, and began writing shortly thereafter. She is a queer Christian poet, crafting with words to create art and music.
