You appreciate the value of silence, in not only the way it distinguishes itself from the noise we are so often swept up in, yet the way it can be used as a form of communication. Without utterance, you passively listen without judgement, hear without replying. You realise that your presence is enough, the way you shift your arm or adjust the position of your legs echoes what words cannot, devoid of the bold brushstrokes of voice. Silences, you know, don’t have to be awkward. They can just be, as you are being. That silence is the key to unlock a truly detached observance of the world, the way to truly reach objectivity and to not languish in the turbulent waters of emotion and subjectivity. The silence is a necessity in the way talking cannot always be. You also enjoy “The Sound of Silence,” by Simon and Garfunkel; your taste in music has a solid foundation.

Matt Querzoli is offering up his compliments for use by the general public. The general public is welcome. Follow him or his randy publication if you liked the post, or even the bloke himself if this tickled your proverbial pickle.

Be the bloke.
