Q. What are SPOTT’s vision, mission and core values?

Q. How and when can I sign up to be a mentor or mentee?

Q. At what age can I apply to be a mentor or mentee?

A. All mentors and mentees must be 18 years old or older.

Q. How much does it cost to join the program? Does SPOTT offer scholarships?

A. The program is free for all applicants. SPOTT does not offer scholarships to mentors or mentees.

Q. Can I receive financial assistance as a mentor or mentee from SPOTT?

A. Financial aid is not available to individuals or private organizations through SPOTT.

Q. How are mentors and mentees matched?

A: Both mentors’ and mentees’ applications are reviewed in depth and matched based on professional experience and interest.

Q. What level of qualifications (academic or professional) are accepted?

A. We match individuals based on their professional experience & interests.

Q. Is this a full time or part time programme?

A. The program will run for 9 months in order for both the mentors & mentees to maximize the experience. It is designed to work best with one’s schedule.

Q. Is this program based in Trinidad and Tobago or in the United States?

A. The program is based in both countries. We accept applications from Trinbagonians across the globe.

Q. I’m having technical difficulties completing my application. What do I do?

Q. I want to work for SPOTT. Can I apply for a job or an internship with SPOTT? Where can I send my resume?

A. At this time SPOTT does not have any job or internship opportunities available. However, we currently have four volunteer committees that you can join. They are the Mentorship, Communications and Outreach, Fundraising and Grants, and Strategic Partnerships committees. If you are interested in joining either of these please email a brief statement of interest and a copy of your resume for consideration.

Q. Who are SPOTTs board members?

A. SPOTT’s board members are unpaid volunteers. You can view the full list of board members here.

Q. Does SPOTT partner with other organizations?

A. Yes, SPOTT is always interested in partnering with like minded organizations. Feel free to reach out to us directly.

Q. Is SPOTT affiliated to any political party or group?

A. SPOTT is not affiliated with any political party or group.
