The Acevedo Family’s Journey to Japan
This week, my family and I hit the ground running as we settled into the Land of the Rising Sun. On Monday, we started by looking at a possible family car (pics below). Tuesday was dedicated to getting my wife her spouse ID and visiting SoftBank to get Japanese phone numbers. On Wednesday, we made our first major purchase in Japan by buying a car! We’ve named it the “Silver Bandit,” and I’m now officially driving a soccer mom car.
Once we’re settled into a house, I’ll likely get myself a JDM car for some fun driving. Thursday was spent with a real estate agent, exploring potential new homes for the future Casa de Acevedo. Finally, on Friday, we’re heading up to Tokyo to visit family, explore the city, and enjoy some great food and shopping. Stay tuned for more updates on our adventure! — Daniel

BlackGirlsHack Foundation (BGH Foundation) is a registered non-profit organization in the state of Virginia with a 501(c)(3) designation. We are a training-focused organization that was created to help increase diversity in cybersecurity by helping to bridge the gap between what is taught in educational institutions and what is necessary for careers in cybersecurity.

To that end, BGH provides weekly hands-on ethical hacking workshops and training programs aimed at helping to provide technical skills and certifications to one of cybersecurity’s most underserved populations.
