#43: Amocualli
With their grinding and ominous dissonant style, Amocualli is proof of Central America’s extensiveness and progress in terms of folk metal.

Amocualli’s sound is a little bit hard to digest at first; the dissonance from the combination of the metal riffs and the indigenous flutes/whistles is something that is quite unorthodox. Nevertheless, the power and aggression of black metal is there, melded with the hair-raising eeriness of the flutes, rattles, and percs.
