A war brought about By selfish wishes of menWho speak of changeWith silvern tongues Hiding their thoughtsBehind slimy namesBehind masks of porcelain
Hey Highlanders! It’s that time of year again, and in celebration of Valentine’s Day, here’s our student-submitted poetry collection! We thank everyone who sent something in this year, and can’t wait to see what talent you have to…
Soft laughter echoes
With the twittering of birds
Across fields of oak
A patch of sunlight.
Beckoning with open arms.
Sweet whispers of sleep.
One day we meets a hobbit
Nice and juicy we can gobble
But it fights us with a knife
So we play a game of life
Right answer and you leave
Wrong one, you become my treat
It drifts down lightly,
away from the home it knew.
Twirling through the air.
Drip, drip, drop
Listen as the rain seeps down
Pitter, pitter, plop
For our town, a shining new crown
Pitter, patter, pitter, patter
One after the other
