Admiral Harrison Harbinger was born in the royal palace to command the Atlas Treasure Marines. He has sailed the seas from a young age, his eyes closed and his spirit valorous. Today, he is known as “The Banished Pirate” due to a tragic tale, a man transformed. Recognized and feared by all, he sails with no real purpose except to free himself from the burden of guilt.
While he seeks to work for the common good by hunting monsters, he remains a pirate at heart, unable to resist chasing treasure chests, wherever they may be! Whether at the helm of his ship or on land, he is in his element. If you cross his path, it’s better to be on his crew than on the opposing side…
So, Pirates, for those of you who have always dreamed of sailing the seas in search of adventure and treasure brimming with gold, follow me on this journey!
PVP
Golden Tides is a third-person MOBA where you embody pirate heroes with different appearances and abilities. Form a team of four and navigate the seas and continents! (My favorite is S.H.U.D because Suddenly He Understood Death)
The goal ? Find the treasure ! YAAARGHH !
To do this, complete your quests one by one with your team. When combined, the rewards from these quests will reveal the position of THE final treasure !
But beware, you may cross paths with hostile rival pirate teams, also completing their series of random quests. And then… it’s time to battle ! Fight with skills and strategies in this Battle Royale to be the winners of this treasure hunt.
If you die, you can respawn. However, in addition to losing time, you will drop the hard-earned quest resources (clues/map pieces) that your assailants can loot. They can also pick up your quest rewards ($DOUBLOONS and consumables) and share them based on a percentage determined by a dice roll. Pirates love to gamble ! YAAAAGHRR
If you reach the treasure first, you will earn multiple rewards (some of which are still a mystery):

ECONOMY
Here are the two in-game currencies:
$DOUBLOONS are Utility Tokens that serve as the in-game currency used for transactions (purchasing ships in auctions, consumables, etc.).
It can be obtained through various in-game methods.
$GT are Governance Tokens. It mainly allow you to have a say/voting power in the game’s future decisions. It also come with a few other benefits, such as access to special events or NFT airdrops.
NFT
In the Golden Tides ecosystem, NFTs are more than just digital collectibles; they play an integral role in blending gameplay with the potential for a thriving in-game economy. Players can set sail with Ship NFTs, each having nine lives and granting the right to hunt for treasures on premium servers. One thing to note is that when a ship sinks, it triggers an auction, returning 80% of the sale price to the previous owner, while allocating 10% each to the sunken crew and the game’s protocol.
Hero Skin NFTs offer visual appeal and different rarity levels to customize avatars, while Treasure Map NFTs promise hidden treasures. In addition to character customization, Titan Artifacts and Mythic Consumables add strategic depth with unique abilities, long cooldowns, and the risk of losing them during battles. As heroes progress, they can enhance their appearance with Hat NFTs, form bonds with their pets through collectible Pet NFTs, and express themselves through animated and personalized Emote NFTs.
In the Golden Tides NFT ecosystem, these elements are planned to be integrated with gameplay, offering holders opportunities for adventure, competition, and value in a pirate-themed experience.
