BP Infrastructure

Telos passed an important milestone with the upgrade of MainNet to EOSIO v1.8. This is not a trivial update, as it requires a complete replay of the nodes as well as some protocol and contracts updates. The switch-over from 1.7 to 1.8 was scheduled for September 26th 17:00 UTC and it was successful. 👏

However, our Telos BP experienced some hiccups that forced us to re-sync the main producer node shortly after activation. Everything has been running very smoothly on our part ever since. 🌼

Performance

At the end of each month we report here about the monthly performance and status of The Teloscope Telos Block Producer. The data shown here is mainly sourced from two apps/tools: our own creation Chainspector, and Aloha BP Benchmarks.

Throughout the month The Teloscope has been the Telos BP with the best median performance. EOSIO v1.8 implements some changes that right out the box improved our performance around 8%. 🚀

The Teloscope regained the trust of some proxies and top voters, thus we went up several positions in the BP ranking. 💪 Thank you and please continue to vote for us. 🙏

Applications and Tools

The Teloscope Bot

Price alert
This is breaking news! 📣 Now The Teloscope bot lets you create a tailored volatility threshold based on TLOS price behaviour. You will find this option under ‘Subscriptions’, there you click on ‘Price alert’.

New ‘Price alert’ option under ‘Subscriptions’

The bot will first show you current price in USD for one TLOS. Just set upper and lower thresholds and the bot will send you a notification when the TLOS price crosses your thresholds.

Pretty simple and handy, huh? 😜 You can read more details in the section “Subscriptions — Price alert” in the bot’s guide.

A good investment maxim is: Beware of volatility! Anyway traders love volatility; it makes them profits. 💵

The Teloscope EOS Bot (private beta)
In accordance with our strategy to extend our applications to other EOSIO networks, and thus make them serve as a bridge to Telos, we are about to launch a version for the EOS community of our popular bot.

This is an invite-only private beta for now. For those who might be interested, please contact us to get access to the EOS version of The Teloscope bot.

The EOS version of the bot will work on main and test networks

Chainspector

We have updated threshold counter logic in Worker Proposals and Ratify Proposals modules on Chainspector as a consequence of the corrections that were made to the contracts that manage those systems.

WPs and Ratify/Amend have different quorum requirements
