Dear Thortspace … How can I find out what version of the Thortspace App is available on Thortspace.com at the moment?
Depending on the platform you are using (Windows, Mac, Android, iOS, Linux) Thortspace software will update automatically.
- On Windows updating to the latest version happens automatically — so ordinarily you shouldn’t need to worry about it.
The only exception I know of to this is described in this medium article, when the automatic update process broke in version 1.4.17:

I think it is possible to set a setting that blocks updates, but most people don’t use this, and the update process seems to work well. - On Mac and iOS updates are again automatic, but I think the default is that users are prompted with a notification to update the software, which they may choose to ignore. So as long as you go and accept the update when you get the notification, you should have the latest version on those platforms.
- On Linux we have not yet implemented an automatic update process, so currently you need to go check the installers page as described below.
