Success and Abundance Through Community
My journey to rid the world of hate and spread love and acceptance
My word for 2019 is community. I came across this concept of choosing a word for the year in 2018, but I didn’t really latch onto it until this year. This year I am putting it into every single aspect of my life, and I can already tell that it is making a difference.
Just two months ago I created the Those That Inspire group. It’s been an idea that is over a year in the making, but just now am I starting to see it take on a life of it’s own. The idea is pretty simple; to create a community of people that inspire each other, motivate each other, and teach each other on a daily basis.
Maintaining Inspiration and Motivation
From my own experience over the past two years, I’ve realized that inspiration and motivation are super challenging to maintain by yourself. But with a community behind you, it is completely possible because you are going to feed off the energy of others to keep the energy flowing into your own projects.
Today was a great example. I had loss in my life that could have brought me down for the entire day; in fact it has been a pretty challenging day when I think back on it. But it was also an amazing day where we had a Those That Inspire Google Hangout with some of my friends and talked about practical knowledge to keep people going in our 90 day content challenge.
I’m now accountable to 40+ people that are participating in this challenge with me. They keep me going, they keep me motivated, and they keep me excited to share my knowledge and skillset with them so that we can all be successful together. And in return, I get that same energy back.
The community you create teaches you
They teach me things every day. They give me reason to learn new technical skills so that we can accomplish this challenge together. And they keep me writing so that I don’t miss a day on this journey.
Over time, that accountability and that community is going to turn into success, I just know it in my heart. And there is so much to give to this world that if we all create our own stories together, there is no need to think in a scarcity mindset. There is an abundance of energy, knowledge, and success to go around.
So I ask you today? What kind of life do you want to live, and how can you find a community to support you on that goal? You may have to create the community yourself, but it’s out there; go find it.
If you want to learn about more inspiring ideas and people, be sure to join my Facebook group called Those That Inspire. We are a like-minded community of doers that help each other succeed in business and in life; and we have a lot of fun at the same time.
