Deep Within The Pages Of An Old Journal, I Re-discovered My “Why.”
Sometimes, it takes unexpected reminders to fuel our creative drive
Re-discovery is a beautiful journey that embraces both our aspirations in the beginning and our reality at the time of embarking on it.
It helps us measure and re-evaluate our journeys from when we birthed our ideas to where we are with its execution.
While searching through my journals for some notes I’d written a while and forgotten, I stumbled upon gold.
Before I started my blog, I made an acronym from a very important word I desired my blog to represent. My goal was to use it as the bedrock of my blog and build a holistic, creative foundation around it.
Stumbling upon it again filled my heart with warm self-reassurance because those principles and vows remain the bedrock of my creative endeavors despite my growth.
The word I used to create my core values was: I.N.S.P.I.R.E.
The acronym means:
I — Impact positively, the creatives’ journey.
N — Nurture young & burgeoning creatives aspiring to become published authors.
S — Simplify the undervalued, neglected aspects of the writing process.
P — Prepare aspiring authors to embrace the writing process.
I — Initiate an all-inclusive creative community for aspiring writers.
R — Recommend useful resources and tools to assist burgeoning authors level up their writing game.
E — Educate burgeoning writers on the tips, tricks, truths, pain points, and struggles associated with embracing the writing process.
I felt an exhilarating dopamine rush when I read it again because this 7-letter word is the very reason I began my blogging journey.
It’s beautiful how sometimes we go looking for something and end up finding another we didn’t know we desperately needed until we stumbled upon it.
In retrospect, every piece of article, every piece of advice I’d ever given, and every word I’ve said in my creative spaces, checks an item on my core values list.
This discovery is truly phenomenal to me and I’ve engraved it in writing to show the world why I’m here.
