First of all the THX Network team wishes you all a very happy 2022! We hope this year will bring us all nothing but mooning bags, engaged communities, health and prosperity.

Over the course of the Holidays the team has been enjoying some time with their loved ones between working on the product. In this first update of 2022 we’re excited to show our progress. Let’s dive into it! ▶️

Google Single Sign-on 🔐

User who have signed up for the free beta version of THX Network might’ve already noticed that we have added the option to sign in using your Google account.

Besides massively streamlining the sign-in and -on process, this allows THX Network connect to your YouTube account and channel. It also makes it possible to request data from YouTube and other Google services.

YouTube Conditional Rewards ✨🏆 ✨

Let’s say your goal is to incentivize users to subscribe to your YouTube channel and reward them with tokens for liking your latest video. The new dashboard makes setting up an asset pool with rewards a piece of cake, regardless of if you want to use existing tokens or create your own.

Users can create asset pools with either existing tokens (an approved list is pulled from Quickswap) or create your own tokens on the Polygon network.

Now we have to create a condition in which the rewards will be awarded to the user completing the engagement. At this moment those conditions can be either liking a specific YouTube video or subscribing to your YouTube channel. More options will be added in the future so you can incentivize engagement in communities on other channels just as easily.

Rewards example in which 10 $JRRT will be rewarded for either or liking a specific video (left) or subscribing to Jorrit’s YouTube channel (right).

Using the data we request from Google, we can determine if users have completed these actions. In order for users to claim their rewards, you can generate an URL or QR code for each reward.

THX Network users can generate one-click URLs and QR codes that instantly redirect to sign-in/signup, followed up by a token reward claim in the THX Web Wallet.

Users that follow the link or QR code are asked to sign in using their Google account (so THX can verify the engagement has taken place). After verification, the rewards are added to the users’ THX Web Wallet.

After checking the engagement has taken place, rewards are then added to the users’ THX web wallet.

For users that don’t have a THX wallet yet, signing in using these URL’s and QR codes onboards them immediately to the THX Network infrastructure, which makes the whole process extremely low-effort and scalable.

Now that users can receive tokens for certain engagements, our next focus is to add a section to the THX Web Wallet where engagement tokens can be redeemed for creator assets like codes for access to exclusive content. In our 2022 product roadmap we elaborate a bit more on this.
