Dear TomoChain community members,

We have some great news to share with you today.

After months of development, TomoZ — The first on-chain protocol that offers the ability for any user to pay transaction fees with the same token the user is holding — is going LIVE on Testnet at 6:00 PM (Singapore time) on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2019. We’ve never been more certain of the necessity for the TomoZ protocol in order to provide inroads to mainstream users who find crypto to be unnecessarily complex.

TomoZ removes the friction to enable a seamless TomoChain token user experience within each token’s ecosystem.

What’s in the package?

The TomoZ core protocol is integrated into the consensus layer of TomoChain, and it only works with a special type of token.

We proudly present to you — TRC 21- the new token standard for the blockchain industry. This is the first and the only type of crypto token which can be transferred among token holders without holding the blockchain native token (TOMO) in their wallets.

This standard provides additional smart contract APIs for computing transaction fees paid by transaction makers. The fees for any transaction made by users to a TRC21 token smart contract will be paid in the token itself. The fees will go to the wallet of the token issuer.

What’s more exciting? Everyone can issue a TRC21 token on TomoChain in a few clicks using TomoIssuer — a user-friendly TRC21 token issuance dashboard. No blockchain developers are needed.

All the burdens and complexities with blockchain have gone away when even a 5th grader can issue his/her own tokens. Transactions can happen effortlessly, anywhere, anytime. No need to worry about holding protocol coins like ETH, BTC, or TOMO to fuel the transaction while you can pay the fee in exactly the same tokens that you want to transfer.

About TomoChain

TomoChain blockchain and product ecosystem allow entrepreneurs, enterprises, and institutions to build high-performance, feature-rich blockchain projects on an enhanced EVM-compatible platform. An array of original features and protocols is designed to support users’ speed, privacy, usability, and liquidity needs all in one platform.

TomoChain is built on a performance layer that achieves high transaction speeds without compromising decentralization. TomoChain uses an innovative consensus method called POSv (Proof of Stake Voting) which gives an incentive to all TomoChain token-holders to play an active part in staking across a network of 150 high-quality masternodes, and to monitor their performance and governance actively. Its staking-governance Dapp, TomoMaster, is recognized as one of the leading staking platforms in the industry.

TomoChain flagship products are:

  • TomoZ — Zero Friction Protocol — the first on-chain protocol that offers the ability for any user to pay transaction fees with the same token the user is holding
  • TomoX — a secure and efficient relayer-masternode decentralized cryptocurrency exchange protocol that empowers a diverse system of relayers, MM providers, and independent projects to work together
