New Improvements for Linking Your Certification and Trailhead Accounts
Earlier this year, we announced that Salesforce Certification maintenance was moving to Trailhead, empowering you to keep your certifications current on Trailhead for FREE.

We hear you!
As our certifications currently run on Webassessor, making maintenance available for free on Trailhead requires you to link your Trailhead and Webassessor accounts. But we’re hearing from you that trying to link your accounts has been challenging… The process is complex, confusing and just too hard. 🤔
Many of you have logged cases with your questions and are getting frustrated waiting to hear back from us. We sincerely apologize for the difficulties in the linking procedure and the delays you are experiencing.
So fear not! We’re committed to solving these challenges, answering your questions, and making this process much smoother.
Your hard-earned credentials are safe
Very importantly, we want you to know that your certification will not expire while we are addressing these account linking issues.
Plus, you don’t have to wait to take your certification maintenance modules on Trailhead — feel free to earn those badges! And when your account is linked, your certification maintenance will show as current.
We’re making the process easier
Again, we understand your frustrations and have taken all your comments on board. In the coming days:
- We’ll simplify the overall process and reduce the number of steps required to link your accounts.
- We’ll improve our instructions and knowledge articles.
- We’ll call all hands on deck and add more support staff to answer your questions and respond to your cases (including me!).
