When we launched, we received torrents of requests and questions about executing bank transactions with Trakka. We always responded by saying “We’re sorry, but you cannot make transactions with Trakka at this time”, while constantly iterating our plans to give our users this experience and even more.
Today, our response changes — we brought in the new guy — TrakkaPay.
TrakkaPay is the first-of-its-kind unified payment system that allows users to pay bills through multiple financial accounts from one app, powered by Mono. And the first beta implementation of this feature now available to users is Direct Bills.
Direct Bills? 💭
Direct Bills is the first phase of TrakkaPay. It is a feature that integrates bill payments into the app. It lets users make quick and easy payment transactions using their mobile apps.
Users needed a way to make quick payments without having to leave Trakka. The idea of financial centrality seemed incomplete without being able to use Trakka to initiate payments. And since our users routinely visit their apps to create budgets, categorize transactions, and monitor their expenses. Seamlessly paying bills without switching to their bank apps or USSD is the cherry on top of a five-star cake.
What sets Trakka apart is users’ ability to mindlessly navigate from reviewing their expenses to paying bills. Speed, ease, and comfort make Trakka feel like home for your finances.
Direct Bills is available to all Trakka users as a public beta — both free and paid. But subscribed users enjoy the ability to make payments from any synced bank account of their choice. The latest version of Trakka is available for both IOS and Android users.

TrakkaPay’s Direct Bills allow you to pay bills directly from your synced bank accounts. What we’re doing is clear. We’re bringing the modern fintech experience to traditional banking. And we can assure you that this isn’t something you’ve been seeing around. Not until us, at least.
You can easily pay to connect to your favourite shows from Dstv, Box Office, Star Times, GoTV, and Showmax; purchase airtime and internet subscriptions from your preferred ISPs like Spectranet, ipNX, and Smile; and pay electricity bills — all from one place.
And guess what!? For your first fifty transactions, ZERO transaction fees for transactions less than a thousand five hundred 🤯.

Since we started, we’ve not stopped mentioning how we aim to redefine personal finance in Nigeria. And so far, we’ve stuck to our guns.
