A Summer Journey to Discover the Past, Live the Present & Unleash the Future
The lectures and excursions were incredible. There’s just too much to talk about. HLT made a concerted effort to give us a wide range of viewpoints- we met with Israeli settlers in Hebron, Palestinian refugees in the various refugee camps around Bethlehem, visited the Jordan Valley and a Bedouin camp and swam in the Dead Sea to name but a few things we did.

The Holy Land is yours to explore
Itkashef, formally known as the Palestine Summer Encounter, is the continuation of our longest-running and most successful encounter experience. Program participants of Itkashef will discovered Palestine through our three-pillared foundation of Faith, Culture, and Justice.
Based in Bethlehem, we will have two back-to-back programs offering homestays, Arabic language courses, educational lectures and excursions across the region, with plenty of free time to learn, explore and just have fun with your fellow travelers and newfound friends in Bethlehem. - Explore the religious and spiritual heritage of the Holy Land.
- See different perspective related to history, theology, politics and the current reality.
- Experience the culture of the Holy Land in a fun, friendly, hospitable but also safe environment, in ways the average tourist will never experience.
- Encounter Palestinians and Israelis who are working for peace and justice.
- Learn about nonviolent activism.
- Live with local host families in the Bethlehem area.

Program cost includes:
- Accommodation for 30 nights (Bethlehem — Ramallah — Jaffa)
- 3 meals per day (Breakfast — Lunch and Dinner)
- Daily Transportation
- Transfer from Jerusalem to Bethlehem on arrival and departure day
- Guided Tours to Historical and Religious sites
- Entrance fees to all sites
- Lectures, training and workshops
- 20 hours of basic Arabic language course
