What did you do this past week?
This past week, my group made a lot of progress on the software engineering project. We are very close to finishing and I’m very happy with how the website it looking now!

What did you do this past week?
I have been working on setting up the SQL database for the software engineering project. I’m not too familiar with SQL since I’ve only used it a few times for previous projects, but I’ve started to understand it much better as I’ve fleshed out the database.

What did you do this past week?
I setup a website on AWS with my project group, and wrote React-Bootstrap code to develop a frontend for the website. I had never used Typescript, React, or Bootstrap before, so there was a lot of learning to do.

What did you do this past week?
I started brainstorming ideas for the software engineering project by looking through many API’s for inspiration. Afterwards, I met with my group to discuss and decide on a project that I’m really looking forward to!

This past week I completed the Collatz project on time, attended the lectures, and looked through the online notes afterwards to make sure I understood everything.

What did you do this past week?
This past week, I started working on optimizing code for finding the Collatz cycle length. To do this, I tried out several caching strategies, continuously modifying them until they worked and passed all three test cases on HackerRank.

What did you do this past week?
I started looking at the projects for a few of my classes (multiple were recently assigned!), so I’m still adjusting as the coursework picks up.
