Dear Valued TuringNet Fans!

We had a great pleasure hosting our first AMA (ASK ME ANYTHING) this week in our Telegram group. Below you can find a summary on questions asked and answers.

Please note that we will be hosting bi-weekly AMA, and will start collecting questions for the next AMA session shortly on Reddit. You may also submit any questions to the TuringNet team via this form.

Q1. Allan: Is the availability of TNET tokens depends on how fast they are mined?

A: Great question! Since TNET tokens are obtained through mining from the very beginning, tokens become available as they are mined. So the more community members and ecosystem partners participate in the improvement of AI, the faster tokens will be mined and the more market circulation. By doing so, this not only incentivizes the community to mine as many tokens as possible, but also for the project team to deliver a great platform with excellent user experience to mine tokens and improve AI.

Q2: Allan: Would there be any changes on mining mechanisms in the future or strictly LBFT only?

A: The plan for now is to use our innovative and AI-tailored mechanism LBFT on the subchain for participants to mine tokens. And we use DPOS for the mainchain for transactions. We will continue to optimize LBFT for it to better serve the purpose of AI learning, and for it to effectively measure the actual results of after each iteration of AI learning. Only when the actual results of each iteration of AI learning is accurately measured, we then can guarantee that we will be able to fairly reward and distribute tokens amongst all participants that provided valuable work.

Q3: Allan: What is the ratio of reserved and tradable/useable TNET tokens? Is there a predetermined ratio prior to the beginning of the initial mining?

A: The ratio is to be determined at this point. We will be closely monitoring the rate of mining of the TNET tokens, and set a tradable and reserved ratio accordingly. Note that for every token that users mine, they’ll provide a portion to the project team, for ongoing maintenance. That ratio may be changed, to stabilize token prices and circulation.

For now, there is no predetermined reserved tokens or any lock up period for tokens mined, which means market circulation will be driven by users, and how fast they mine tokens.

Q4: Allan: Would there be any masternodes when mainnet is launched? What are the criteria?

A: Yes, we will look at the contribution of nodes in training our AI models. We will have masternodes on subchain, consider Verifier and Confirmer nodes as a form of supernodes

Q3: Vijish: How to mine coins and how to claim coins?

Tokens are mined through contributing valuable work to improve AI models on our platform. Developers are the ones who mine tokens. They will share AI model training needs with users, and will provide users various tasks to earn tokens. For example, we will be releasing a new app, for users to upload their pictures to train our facial recognition AI models. Users will earn tokens while uploading pictures, and these tokens will be automatically distributed to users’ wallets. About TuringNet — World’s First Open and Trustable Platform for AI

TuringNet is the world’s first open and trustable Artificial Intelligence platform to solve the black box problem of AI. Our patent-pending technologies are designed to empower a self-governing ecosystem that develops verifiable and trustable AI models, at the same time incentivizes the public to participate in scalable and collaborative model training and prediction. The open platform will significantly lower the entry barriers for enterprises to adopt AI. Also, our verifiable and decentralized model (DModel) opens endless possibilities for AI to be applicable to various scenarios, including the improvement of the blockchain technology itself.
