Ubeswap 2021 Year in Review
Reflecting Back on a Year of Innovation
2021 was a year of innovation for Ubeswap. The Ubeswap platform launched in February and has since grown to over 42,000 users (link), more than $600 million total value transacted, and is averaging more than 450,000 swaps/month to close out 2021. There are now more than 9,700 holders of the UBE token (link), over 13,000 Twitter followers (link), and 7 completed community governance votes (link) with 6 million UBE staked in Single-Staking (link), all reflecting the ongoing decentralization of the platform and active community engagement.
In 2021, the Ubeswap community welcomed new contributors, and embarked on an effort to bring the benefits of mobile-native DeFi to any person with a mobile phone, particularly the 1.7 billion unbanked people who have traditionally been excluded from the modern financial system. As Ubeswap turns the page on 2021, the community looks forward to 2022 with optimism.
