After publishing our brand new website and announcing our first ecosystem partner Theta, we would like to give you a heads up on what we’ve been doing lately, and what paths we are taking toward the launch of Ultra scheduled for the end of this year. In this article we will, among other things, better define Ultra’s various ecosystem components, give you a glimpse of the upcoming Testnet, our Uniswap program and different community activities.
New Website and New Terminology
Last week, we released our website with a new design and more comprehensive descriptions of Ultra’s key components. We also added an articles section hosting all previous and forthcoming Medium articles. You can read everything about Ultra right here.
The various sections featured on our website describe our achievements and goals. As we did in our recent articles and announcements, we also introduced a few new concepts we would like to explore with you more in detail today.
Ultra
Our fully fledged entertainment platform containing an ecosystem of applications and services including Ultra Games, Ultra Wallet, Theta and more to be announced.
Ultra client
The application users will download from our website and install on their computer. The Ultra client has been designed for a mainstream audience with little technical knowledge, and allows them to benefit from the latest blockchain innovations! Our client is capable of delivering powerful blockchain functionality while handling the complexity transparently. The Ultra client contains its own secure, embedded cryptocurrency wallet called Ultra Wallet.
Ultra platform
The Ultra platform can be considered a “framework” that allows ecosystems to exist, any third parties apps and dapps can be hosted, and provides them the tools to interact seamlessly. For example, a tournament application could trigger our authenticator to request a payment, create an Ultra NFT offered as a tournament prize. A community could promote an event to the Theta user base by ”air dropping” them free entry tickets! Examples like these are endless and the variety of applications or features will only depend on third party developers’ imagination.
Ultra Games
We are very excited by Ultra Games as it is the first application directly integrated into the Ultra platform and makes use of Ultra’s blockchain technology allowing us to launch a PC games distribution platform based on NFTs. It is our flagship product and will be a big catalyst bringing new users to the platform allowing them to buy, play, trade and resell their games.
Ultra blockchain
We heavily modified the open source EOSIO blockchain and made it mass-market-ready with very high transactional throughput, free transactions, and no account creation fees. The Ultra blockchain powers our own business centric NFT standard and enables 3rd party dApp developers to publish their smart contracts and serve their dApps to millions of Ultra users effortlessly.
UOS
UOS is Ultra blockchain’s native coin or token, that can be used as a means of payment across Ultra’s application ecosystem including Ultra Games.
UOS are also used by businesses to sponsor free blockchain transactions to their customers as well as to buy RAM required to publish smart contracts and their associated data. By the way…“UOS Blockchain” doesn’t exist, it’s “Ultra blockchain”! So if you see “UOS” mentioned, you know it’s about $UOS ;-)
Development Update
Our team has been hard at work developing the Ultra platform and Ultra games in order to release them by the end of this year. While we have a roadmap spanning years ahead, we have already dialled in all the features that will be included in the very first version of Ultra, and have started scoping the work of what’s to come post release.
On the blockchain front, our Testnet is making fantastic progress to say the least! We have completed the first round of benchmarks intended to test our technology and find out what kind of performance we can expect from our network. The first results are beyond our expectations. A dedicated update will come directly from the blockchain team soon.
Uniswap Liquidity Program
At this point, any actor in the blockchain space has noticed Uniswap’s 2.0 stellar uptake.
We are creating a “Uniswap Liquidity Program” that will reward participants with UOS when they provide liquidity to the UOS/ETH pair!
Overall Ultra’s Uniswap reward program is rather simple:
- Provide some liquidity to Ultra’s ETH/UOS pool on Uniswap
- Send your Uniswap LP token to Ultra’s reward program smart contract
- Receive UOS tokens in addition to the 0.3% transaction fees you normally get from Uniswap
Sounds easy? It is! Just beware of gas price :-/
It’s pretty much ready, and while you’re waiting we’re completing the final tests and are writing a dedicated blog post to explain how it works in detail, stay tuned it’s coming “Soon™”!
Community activities
AMA
Ultra is a massive project that has been under development for over 2 years and as you’ve probably noticed we’ve started to share quite a lot of information lately which we know inevitably leads to questions. To give you an opportunity to ask them in the right format we’ve been planning new AMAs in English and French, our two fastest growing communities.

As we mentioned in this article, you can expect an imminent update from our blockchain team that should include exciting information about the outcome of the benchmarking. You can also expect the brand new Uniswap liquidity program and some community activities!
