Company Updates

54 games have been tokenized!

We continue to grow the amount of tokenized games on our store catalog and have officially tokenized 54 games. We’re not stopping yet, as we plan to have every game on our store tokenized by the end of November.

As a quick refresher, our vision with game tokenization is to change the way players own and interact with their digital games. We’re going beyond the traditional gaming experience and adding greater value and experiences by owning games.

Ultra Games Halloween Sale!

We celebrated Halloween in style by having a Halloween sale for games from some of our established partners, including titles from Skybound Games, Fulqrum Publishing, Hatinh Interactive, and Blowfish Studios. Players could enjoy up to 85% off games, allowing them to try out new, exciting titles.

October Tournaments!

October saw another month of thrilling tournaments, with 6 tournaments being played, with 3,200 $UOS and 24 Uniqs being won.

November’s tournaments are already filling up, so download Ultra and enter with your squad.

Electron Closed Beta feedback completed!

A total of 268 Electron closed beta testers played a pivotal role by offering invaluable feedback. Their input enabled us to identify and resolve numerous bugs and issues.

As a token of our appreciation for their contributions, we rewarded these feedback providers with exclusive Uniqs.

The Uniq rewarded to our closed beta testers

The open beta for the Electron client will commence soon, as we encourage all our players to migrate to Electron when the time comes. More updates are on their way.

New Uniq Drops!

Trick or Treat Scratch Card Uniqs

The scratch card Uniq drop was our first Uniq Variant drop with a delayed reveal feature. Each player could acquire a maximum of 5 Uniqs at 10 cents each, with each card holding the possibility of redeeming UOS, or ‘The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Edition’ game Uniqs.

This collection sold out in under 3 minutes, with the reveal happening 3 days later. This Uniq drop marks another huge step for the Uniq standard.

AstroMust Uniq Drop

The team at AstroMust did their first Uniq drop on the Uniq Marketplace, providing holders with loads of utility linking to their game. Some of the utility includes:

  • 7,500 in $MUST tokens
  • Direct in-game integration & bonuses
  • Forever beta access to the AstroMust ecosystem
  • + much more

Are still some Uniqs available in the collection, for those interested in the project.

Development Updates

On-chain first-hand purchase feature live!

We recently updated our Uniq standard with the new on-chain first-hand purchase feature. This feature unlocks greater flexibility over their Uniq collections, enabling them to define multiple purchasing options, create exclusivity around their collections, and much more.

This feature will create a standardized way of distributing Uniqs, while providing innovative ways for players to acquire digital items on Ultra. Here’s what creators and players can expect from this update:

  • Creators can now set up different purchase options on Uniq factories
  • New ways of acquiring Uniqs for players
  • Whitelisting for Uniq collections
  • Quantity limitation on purchase options
  • Defining revenue beneficiaries
  • Configurable sale timeframe

The Uniq standard is open on testnet and these purchasing options can be applied here while waiting for the feature to be opened up on mainnet. For more information, you can view our documentation here.

Testing for gated access to games is underway!

This feature allows game developers to let specific Uniq holders enjoy privileges such as closed beta testing and early access.

To test this feature, we dropped a Uniq key to Ultra’s Power #4, #5, #13, Elemental Souls: Fire & Collective, and MVPs Uniq holders. This key offers them exclusive access to play Furry Fury.

The process was a success and soon we will be testing the multiple Uniqs exclusive access feature, where players will be required to hold multiple Uniqs to access games.

The exclusive access feature provides game developers with engaging ways to reward their communities, as well as innovative ways to have their games tested by players.

Electron client version 0.0.7 released!

Thanks to the feedback of our players, we’ve fixed numerous issues and bugs with the latest version of the Electron client:

  • Small bug fixes around the old client uninstall and new client install process
  • Client settings, button added with the following options:
  • ‘Start at windows boot’
  • ‘Start in tray’
  • ‘Minimize to tray’
  • We fixed a bug where the client in some cases would stop responding after a deep link was used

This release marks another big step toward making the full migration to Electron—a big thank you to those who provided their feedback on the Electron client.

Ultra Games on the web!

As we await some final setups to undergo, we are nearing Ultra Games being fully visible on the web. This will be the first Ultra application with a functional web version, meaning Ultra’s game content will be easier to navigate. This will be beneficial to both game developers and players, as games will be for everyone to see, and players can browse our catalog before deciding if they want to enter the Ultra ecosystem.
