Umbrella Network Announces Public Testnet Launch on 15th March 2021
Umbrella Network is proud to announce that we will be launching our public testnet on 15th March, 2021. We are on track to hit this key point in our roadmap, and are excited to share our platform with the public for testing.
This is public testnet, so while we are launching core functionality, it won’t have all of the trimmings. There will be 3 validators on board, and 4 total data sources. And there will already be 750+ data pairs available, more than any other oracle in the market today. We will be taking in your feedback to continue to rapidly add more data pairs that the market needs.
We want to roll out the system and have the community kick the tires, beat the steering wheel, and give us all the feedback. Warts and all. And we will be keenly collecting this feedback and taking it back to the shop for further improvements and enhancements.
Additionally, we will be launching a community development challenge, to be announced later this week. This will be a hackathon similar to our UX Challenge to help showcase our SDKs and its capabilities. And there will be a bug bounty program launching as well. Stay tuned for more details on both of these programs in the coming days.
One of our biggest commitments has always been to be transparent and open with our community. In return, we also hope that we can get the necessary raw, honest feedback from you on our product. We are intensely focused on product development and enhancement at this point, and will be sharing more information with the community that will be focused around our product features, system enhancements, and competitive advantages in the coming days and weeks.
We believe one of the strongest aspects for success is execution, and we will be looking to deliver on that promise as we roll out our product, continue to iterate to improve the platform, add more advanced features and functionality, and launch more and more data pairs, including complex data sets previously unavailable to the market. Things are just getting started, and we look forward to sharing our platform with the community on the 15th.
