Not unrefined, but aspirational. Uncouth Uncouth showcases art that aims to create intelligent, empathic dialogues about cultural currents, minus platitudes. We abhor banal bullshit, opting instead to create and collaborate on projects with stories. Stories that beset birth, growth, emotionality, aspiration, conflict, and mortality. Stories that may otherwise get pussyfooted around for being uncomfortably real. We promote alternate narratives, told via writing, design, music, filmmaking, and every other available storytelling medium. Uncouth Uncouth exists to remind everyone that there is no one correct way to live life and make art.
