London wine tasting outlook
One year ago, we launched UnscrewMe. We thought listing 30 or 40 wine tastings per month would be good. Little did we realise, that now a year later, we know of more than 130 wine tastings per month, and we still discover new wine shops and bars all the time.
It is fascinating to see the London wine scene thriving like this. And we do our best to keep up with it and make wine events easier to find for everyone.
In September, we have added four new shops and pubs that have regular wine tastings:
- The Wine Twit in Wandsworth (SW12)
- Mercato Metropolitano in Elephant & Castle (SE1)
- The Heathcote & Star in Leytonstone (E11)
- Shelved Wine in Covent Garden (WC2)

While our focus is on informing about wine tastings, and of course going to tastings ourselves, we are also organising two private wine tastings over the next two months, which makes us understand even better how much work goes into every single wine event on UnscrewMe.
(What would be a better choice to mark one year of UnscrewMe than some outstanding English sparkling wine, like the Leslie’s Reserve NV by Hush Heath Estate we just recently had over dinner at the excellent Frontline Club restaurant in Paddington?! It was very crisp with lime and mineral notes combined with a hint of sweetness. 👍)
