Boasting over two-hundred art galleries, world-renowned restaurants, and one of New York’s preeminent transportation hubs, Penn Station, this is a destination for high-flying Uplanders of all stripes. Chelsea/Village’s crown jewels, however, find themselves in fierce competition with one another. From Hotel Chelsea, a cultural landmark that has hosted the likes of Mark Twain, Stanley Kubrick, Frida Kahlo, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, to Chelsea Market, a food hall staple for locals constructed in the 1890s, to the Flatiron Building, perhaps one of New York City’s most iconic buildings, Chelsea/Village has no shortage of cultural icons.
Trust us, it’s a place you want to be.
So don’t miss your chance, seize the opportunity to own a portion of this latest addition to the Upland metaverse! The bubble will officially open to all Uplanders on Friday, September 25th at 8PM PT.
If you’re one of the winners of the 44% minting challenge, you will gain early access to the bubble on Friday, September 25th at 8AM PT — 12 hours before everyone else. We’ll be sending emails 48 hours before the early access date to notify the winners, so keep your eye on your inboxes!
We’ll be announcing some exciting new events to accompany the opening of the bubble, so stay tuned and get your block explorers ready for a new adventure. Lastly, for everyone eager about the final bubble: we’re happy to announce that it will be the Upper East Side.
Landmark Design Winners
A few weeks ago we announced Landmarks in Upland, a new type of property with special attributes. We then announced our first Landmark Design Contest, and received many fascinating design submissions with various stylistic inspirations. It was hard but we had to choose winners, but here they are!
3rd Place: The Crypto
The design team liked the simplicity of the model. If you zoom in the voxel green trees are great.

We really liked the level of detail and natural colors the model has!

Landmark PreBubble Pinatas
Before the Chelsea/Village bubble opens to everyone, the Upland community is going to have a little celebration.
Between 6 and 8pm PT this Friday, we will release several clues on Twitter and Discord that point to several different properties containing very valuable piñatas. These three properties are also the first to be reserved as SF Landmarks. Many additional SF Landmarks will be determined through community vote next week.
The clues will be of increasing difficulty and each Landmark will have a piñata worth more than the last. These Landmarks will be unminted properties, so you better get your sends up in order to prepare.
The Big Opening
Once we reach the 48% minting mark in San Francisco the 5th NYC bubble (Upper East Side) will be prepared for opening. The top 5 winners from the 44–46% SF minting challenge will get access 12 hours in advance. We will soon be holding a private drawing to determine who will have access, from the players who tied for 5th place.
With this next SF minting contest, The Big Opening, we’re offering one of the most exciting prizes in upland’s history: Direct access to open beta of Fiat Out (and skip the upcoming lottery). This wonderful prize will be rewarded to the top 5 contestants.
Once we are at 50% of minting in SF, the challenge will be over and Manhattan will have a full opening. For this final opening there will be no exclusive advanced access, but there will be a big celebration.
