Top 10 Major Features Added to UpNote in 2022
The year 2022 is coming to an end. Looking back, we are really happy that many of the popular requests from our users were fulfilled :) Here are the top 10 features added to UpNote in 2022:
1. Collapsible sections
The collapsible section is one of the most frequently requested features in UpNote. As the name suggests, you can choose to hide some note content and expand it when needed in the collapsible section. This is particularly useful when you want to organize content in a long note.
2. Linux app
One of our top priorities for UpNote has always been to make it reliable across platforms so our users can access notes anywhere. The March 2022 release of the Linux app finally made UpNote available on all major platforms (iOS, Android, Mac, Windows and Linux).

3. Mobile widgets
You can use the UpNote widgets both on the iOS and Android platforms to write notes, search for them, and view them all at the same time. Adding widgets to your mobile device is incredibly easy, and there are three types of widgets you can choose from: Quick Actions, List of Notes, and Note Content.
4. Note sharing via web links
We designed UpNote with the primary goal of making it a convenient note-taking app for personal use. Along the way, however, we have received a variety of requests from users who want to share their notes with others or publish them online.
Now you can easily share your note via a secret web link and send that link to your friends and readers.
5. Templates
Templates is the most recently added feature in UpNote. If you often reuse or duplicate a note, this feature will help you save time when creating a new note: instead of copying content from another note, now you can simply select from your templates and UpNote will fill in the content for you.
6. Embed Videos in your note
UpNote supports many popular video services such as YouTube, Vimeo or Daily Motion. You can easily embed a video in your note editor and play it directly from UpNote on all your devices.
7. LaTeX support
Many UpNote users are students, researchers or work in the academic field. LaTeX support has made it easy and convenient for UpNote users to insert formulas and equations into their notes.
8. Attachment sync across devices
Now when you edit an attachment, UpNote will sync the changes across devices so you don’t need to re-upload the edited file. This feature has improved the reliability of the app and make sure you can access the latest data on all devices.
9. Windows app installer
UpNote has been available on the Microsoft Store for a long time, however some of our users cannot install from the Store due to their company or school policy. We have created an installer so that users can download it from our website and install it on their computer.
10. Custom fonts
Our users always love to have more fonts to choose from for notes and besides the custom fonts included in UpNote you can now choose any custom font installed in your computer.
