What is Veertly used for? Well, there’s not a single answer to this question. There may be a few apparent use cases for our platform, however, with a wide diversity of events and companies that use Veertly, we’re often pleasantly surprised by the creativity of our community for what Veertly can be used for!

1. Meetups and industry events
A Meetup is a service used to organize online groups that host events for people with similar interests. While a majority of meetups are held in-person, many organisations have decided to make the switch to online events over the past few months. This enables for companies to increase Meetup attendance due to greater accessibility of their event; instead of connecting with someone across the room, you can now connect with someone across the world!
Veertly is ideal for Meetups and industry events as it allows you to network and meet like-minded people, which is a crucial element of these events.
Communities such as Cryptorado, Sidepreneur, and the SDG Business Meetup are all hosting their #meetups on the Veertly platform. Another example is Mercedes Benz Social Media Night (#MBSMN) which featured top-class speakers on the ‘Main Stage’, sponsor booths, and virtual breakout rooms for in-depth topical discussions.
2. Startup pitch events & startup weekends
Another fantastic use case for events on Veertly are Startup Weekends: a 54-hour weekend event, during which groups of developers, business
managers, startup enthusiasts, marketing experts, graphic artists and more, pitch ideas for new startup companies. Participants form teams around those ideas, and work to develop a working prototype/presentation by Sunday evening. The whole event from A-Z can be run on Veertly, the ‘Networking’ area can be used for team formation, ‘Rooms’ are perfect to work in smaller groups by embedding apps such as collaboration tools, and the ‘Main Stage’ is best suited for the final presentations on Sunday. Organisations that have hosted startup-related events in the past include Startup Salzburg, Startup Stuttgart, the Startplatz Accelerator, and hubitation, a startup accelerator.
3. University events & workshops
Be it freshmen orientation weeks, alumni events or lectures. Veertly is a perfect partner for events in the education space. We are discussing partnerships with well-known academic institutions like MIT, the RWTH Aachen, Leiden University and many more. Furthermore, we have hosted a workshop of the alumni network of the Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University (DHBW) and are planning a conference with the TH Rosenheim.
4. Corporate events & workshops
Are you responsible for organizing a multi-day leadership meeting, fully digital summer event, or company socials? Don’t want to host your event through another Zoom call? We got you covered and we have plenty of experience in hosting all types of interactive corporate events.
Use our breakout-’Rooms’ for an efficient remote workshop by integrating other working tools in your event. You can also use this tool to embed fun games into these rooms for an engaging summer event and to mingle with your colleagues — just like in a physical event!
5. Exhibitions and fairs
Job fairs and industry exhibitions can currently postponed, and the best alternative would be to host them online. With Veertly, we offer a highly interactive platform that is very intuitive to configure, is highly customizable and only takes a few minutes to set-up. 6. BarCamps and open space events
BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences. They are open, participatory workshop-events, in which the content is provided by participants. In Veertly, the organizer can give the attendees many rights, such as creating new rooms and creating polls. Furthermore, the evolving agenda can be embedded via a collaborative document so that each attendee can update it. Attendees can also decide which sessions they would like to attend and can easily switch between the different rooms.
7. Other events
- Networking events: During a lock-down, talking to people may be discouraging, however, Veertly can open up many channels and opportunities for you to connect with others.
With Veertly, it just got so much easier to meet new people, have a video-chat with them and connect with new friends on social media! In the past, we have hosted networking lunch events and other events such as company/job applicant matchmaking!
- Live concerts and virtual karaoke parties: Here at Veertly, we’re all about having fun and being flexible to cater to your needs. We have even had online concerts and festivals with live acts, singers, and comedians use
Veertly. Make sure to use a platform that fosters engagement with your audience and always keep in mind who your audience is. Use the ‘Rooms’ for fan engagement between the artists and the audience or give your sponsors the opportunity to promote their products and services and to get in touch with the event attendees.
- Virtual photo shoots: Yep, you’ve read correctly. With the feature to manage the attendees, photographers can move their models into the different rooms and do virtual photo shootings.
