Vital Signs Signature Course
Exploring new approaches to the future of health and health care, together.
Note from the editor

Vital Signs is a Signature Course of The University of Texas at Austin featuring lectures open to the public, offered in partnership with Dell Medical School and the School of Nursing. Thought leaders address key areas — from business models and incentives to policy, roles, technology and data — that need rapid evolution or disruption to enable a vital, inclusive health ecosystem. Follow along on Medium: watch videos of the lectures, read expert commentary and share your opinions in the comments section. Mini Kahlon and Stacey Chang, Dell Med leaders who designed Vital Signs, are joined in writing about the course by Chad Swiatecki, an Austin-based journalist who covers business and creative industries. Chad writes for Rolling Stone, Austin Monitor, Austin Monthly magazine and the Austin American-Statesman.
