Dear ViteFleet,

We are happy to share our Q3 accomplishments here at Vite Labs, including Vite Passport, ViteX and Vite App updates, Dev Office Hour, industry activities and specific shoutouts to our ecosystem projects.

Vite Passport

Vite Passport is the official wallet extension from Vite Labs, and it’s here.

With this extension, you can:

  1. Create / import a Vite wallet
  2. Send / receive funds
  3. Connect to third-party applications via the injected vitePassport API
  4. View account transaction history
  5. Switch / add networks
  6. Derive / switch accounts from the same mnemonics

Also, users can choose to test our ViteBridge v0.1 with wallets that support ViteConnect or use our official browser extension Vite Passport.

Solidity++ 0.8 Visual Code Extension Refactoring

  • Added VS Code Extension login via ViteConnect
  • Upgraded Vite.js to version 2.3.19
  • Updated docs
  • Fixed bugs

ViteX

We want to send a special shoutout to ViCat for listing the popular meme coin DOGE to ViteX. The listing has garnered significant attention on Twitter.

We also want to congratulate eDAO on bringing these listings to ViteX:

  • $HBOT / $ETH
  • $CANTO / $USDT
  • $HBIT / $USDT

Two ViteX trading campaigns were hosted this quarter, and we can’t thank you enough for participating! Congrats again to all winners.

Vite App

New versions of the iOS and Android app have been released, updates include disabling the “Auto-Receive” function which allows users to block all transactions to their Vite address mitigating the “taint” problem, and:

  • Smoothed out the Mining pages (iOS)
  • Modified the transaction speed of receive: in the case of locking VITE, the speed of receive is not limited; the larger amount will be received first for the same token (iOS)
  • Modified the Free Quota description, Free Quota limit is 50 times a day (iOS)
  • Updated Asset icon (iOS)
  • Modified the output logic when the trade amount is less than the minimum value (iOS)
  • Updated Account Page (iOS)
  • Added UAH and INR fiat currencies (Android)
  • Added Spanish language (Android)
  • Added App tutorial (Android)
  • Optimized the mnemonic arrangement format on the export mnemonic page (Android)

Try it out now at app.vite.net and let us know what you think.

Dev Office Hour

We hosted two Dev Office Hours this quarter with a goal to engage community developers and onboard more developers to code in Solidity++, recaps of Dev Office Hour with our talented Mike can be found in our official Reddit channel.

Industry Activities

Richard Yan, Vite Labs COO, hosted an AMA and participated at Stanford Blockchain Conference with some heavy hitters in the blockchain space.

ICYMI, recap of the AMA can be found here.

Ecosystem Project Shoutouts

Vita Inu

The team behind the famous feeless blue dog has successfully landed more listings on CEXs such as Gate and Huobi, congrats to you guys!

Viva

Congrats on your first CEX listing and adding 5 new staking pools to Viva!

ViteTogether

We also want to shout out to Viva for bringing life to ViteTogether. As shared in their Medium Article here, ViteTogether is a series of protocols for the Vite blockchain that allow groups of users to optimize their voting rewards collectively. In essence, VITE holders can combine their deposits in the prize pools to earn a chance to win attractive rewards for participating in Vite’s chain consensus mechanism. Well done!

Viterium

Shout-out to the Viterium team for launching v1.3.0 of their app with built-in support for Viva and Vitamin Coin staking platforms and VITC Swap in their new DeFi Center. Read more in their tweet below.

VitePay

Community member imalfect developed a payment system for Vite called VitePay. VitePay is free to use, and doesn’t contain any fees! Check it out here.

Next Steps

At Vite Labs, we take security as a top priority and it will be one of our main focuses in Q4, along with other milestones:

  • Deploying ViteBridge on more testnets for more stress tests
  • Reviewing security of Vite Passport
  • Releasing initial version of Vite Portal
  • Upgrading Vite.js
  • Second network upgrade of 2022

As always, thank you for making our zero-gas dream come true. See you in Q4!
