Lore Spotlight is back, giving you an insight into the vast lore found in Hash Rush.

Our last three editions were special, we introduced the Ernack Heroes, Farion, Carax, and Melighar, while exploring how they survived the Crypto Crystal Storm and how the reacted to their transformation into an Ernack.

With the introductions for the Ernack Heroes complete for now, we are going to look at something more familiar, but just as mysterious, the Troggs. After all, they are definitely still Ernacks, and so were once Trinell, but their physical bodies are vastly different from the traditional Ernacks. What caused them to mutate further? Let’s find out today!

An Ernack leading a Trogg to

Originally, the Troggs were once Trinell, just like every other Ernack, however,

The story of the Troggs begins with the Crypto Crystal Storm. When the first Crystal shards began raining down on the Ernack planets, some of the Trinell ran to cover underground, seeking shelter from devastation, unfortunately, as time would tell, this was the first step in their long and sad transformation into a Trogg.

As the Crystal shards mercilessly destroyed the surface world, many also penetrated into the planet’s crust, while others seemingly began to burrow into the ground, as if they had a purpose, (see Lore Spotlight: The Crystal Titan for more on that).

On the surface, the short exposure to the Crystals forced a de-evolution upon all of the Trinell, giving birth to the Ernacks. However, the Trinell that had sought shelter underground were trapped, unable to escape, and so were exposed to the power of the Crystals for much longer. They too first transformed into the Ernacks, but over time, the Crystals began to affect them further. Though their physical bodies grew stronger, their mental powers diminished as their minds were reduced to a much simpler state.

The salvation of the Troggs came after the new Ernack race had re-organized themselves and begun digging through the mines, unintentionally freeing the Troggs.

At first, the Troggs were afraid of the small Ernacks, not understanding what they were, but thankfully they knew deep down not to be aggressive towards them. Eventually, they allowed themselves to be lead to the surface where the gradually re-integrated with the Ernack race.

With their physical prowess, they are one of the main Tank and Siege units for the Ernack faction roster.
