Brutus is surprised, and happy that he is able to ascend his path effortlessly. Normally when he went on hikes with Keisha, she would be prancing and bouncing joyfully. Meanwhile, he would be dripping with sweat and gasping for air, walking wasn’t really his thing. He much preferred lifting weights. But here, things seem easy, and he wishes that when he is done here that hiking will be just as easy.
The path is becoming steeper, and Brutus is noticing that there is less glowing plant life the higher he goes. The slope gets steep enough that he has to use all four limbs to climb, and despite his grumbling about the climb, he is getting to the first peak. Brutus grabs onto a rock to pull himself up and it gives way. He starts to fall backwards when he feels someone push him back up. Brutus crawls onto the peak, sits down, and looks around to see who helped him.
“Well now,” Brutus says with a surprised tone, as he looks at the person who helped him up. “You’re pretty small to have pushed me with that much force.” The man that helped him is half Brutus’ size.
