(Try them if you’re also a one-man army)

Time is the most precious asset that all of us hold as a human being.

And, nowadays we want to try everything possible, all thanks to social media.

We want to explore the world, read our favorite books, start our journey as a content creator, and what not!

But, here’s the cache — Time is Limited.

So, we have to make conscious and strategic efforts to use it in the best way possible.

When I started my journey as a Pinterest creator with my 9–5, time was also one of the major constraints that I’ve to face.

On top of that I had zero knowledge about the thing that I was going to pursue, so, apparently it becomes a bit more challenging.

My personal challenge was to learn about the platform, create the content, take feedback in the form of analytics and then repeat this whole process again and again…

In the beginning, I was completely blank.

I’m figuring out the authentic sources to learn about the platform.

Also, I’ve never designed anything, so, again, it’s a major challenge.

I’ve two choices —

  • Option 1 : I give up and continue working with my 9–5
  • Option 2 : Make a POA (Plan of Action) figuring out how I could make the most of my spare time in building this side business.

I thought a lot and decided why not take a chance and try something new that I haven’t tried in my entire life and that’s why I choose option 2.

The whole POA that I made was based on one single thing and that’s — Batching Content.

How I Implemented the Batch Content Method?

Before implementing this method, I used to look at all the elements of my pin curation as a single identity i.e.

  • Finding Pin titles
  • Finding Visuals
  • Writing Pin description
  • Adding Tags

Now, after using this method, I look at all these elements as a whole and here’s how I changed it for the better.

Hack 1 : Finding Pin Titles

Instead of coming up with a new title for each pin individually, I now set aside specific time to brainstorm and list out multiple titles in one go.

I’ve also made an Excel Sheet for the same. You can also use this format to come up with catchy pin titles⬇️

Hack 2: Finding Visuals

Visuals play a crucial role on Pinterest, since it’s a visual search engine.

I personally use Canva to design my pins and since it’s been integrated with the world’s best stock photo sites, I don’t have to switch between different platforms to find visuals.

I can find the visuals that align with my pins in the Canva uploader itself🙌.

I keep on experimenting different visual styles for my pins like — Graphics, Real Models, Vectors, etc. (Right now I’m trying the real models as the visual elements of my pin!)

Just like my pin titles, I also collect the visuals for my pin in advance.

Here’s a snapshot showing some of my Pinterest Designs in Canva.

Hack 3 : Writing Pin Descriptions

Pin description also helps you in optimizing the SEO.

It should be short, concise and include a call to action.

I use ChatGPT/Bard while writing pin descriptions for pins based specifically on my blog.

If I’m uploading pins to promote my Etsy store, then the Pinterest algorithm automatically fetches the details of my product from my Etsy store.

Here’s how it works!

Create a dummy description for your pin.

Let’s say I want to promote this blog which I’m writing.

The title of the blog is — 4 Time Saving Pinterest Hacks That Have Helped Me Create 9k Pins as a Solo Creator!

The Dummy Description would be :

Want to know the 4 Hacks that have helped me create 9k pins and reach 70 million on Pinterest? Check out the blog by clicking the link to know how I did this and you can too😍!

Once my dummy description is ready, I’ll head over to ChatGPT and type in my prompt and this chatbot will give me the desired results.

Hack 4 : Adding 10 Additional Hashtags

Tags are equally important for optimizing the SEO.

Apart from adding tags in your pin description, you can also add 10 additional tags in your pin.

Even though you’ll need specific tags for each pin title, try to come up with general tags that work for many pins.

Let’s say, you’re into the ‘Crafting’ niche, if you type in this keyword, you’ll see the following suggestions:

These keywords are very specific and they might not be searched for as often.

What you should do is use related keywords instead.

For crafting, people also use SVG files, so you can type ‘SVG’ in the search box.

Pinterest will suggest related terms that people search for.

Use these as your keywords to target a broader audience.

You can also prepare an Excel sheet to stay more organized.

I’ve written a detailed blog on ‘How to Use the 10 Additional Hashtags on Pinterest, you can check it out here!⬇️’
