**Note that we have moved to a temporary location. See our blog post for details about curbside services at our new location.**

The Washington State Law Library continues to offer curbside checkouts and returns on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Capitol Campus security measures remain fluid and we appreciate your understanding as we occasionally must make last minute changes to the service. Please give us a call at 360–357–2136 to find out current curbside service status.

This is how our curbside service works:

Book checkouts

1. Use our online catalog to browse for books: http://www.courts.wa.gov/library/

2. Reserve books using your online catalog account, call (360–357–2136), or email (library.requests@courts.wa.gov) with book title(s) and contact information.

3. Receive a notification when the book is ready for pickup. Pickup times are on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Books will be available for two weeks.

4. Upon arrival, park in the designated spot at the back of the Temple of Justice or stand (if you are not driving) next to the designated spot. Look for orange cones with a “Curbside Pickup” sign. Please park in the striped zone and do not use any other parking spots.

5. Call 360–357–2136 (printed on sign) and let library staff know you are here for curbside pickup and whether you are in a car or on foot. Please provide a description of your vehicle and notify staff of any special needs or instructions. If you do not have a cell phone, please call 360–357–2136 to set up an appointment.

6. Drivers: Please stay inside your vehicle until a library staff member puts the cart with your materials in a designated spot. If you are unable to leave your vehicle, please unlock back seat or pop trunk so that staff can place items in your car. If you drive a truck, books will be placed on the passenger seat.

Walkers: From the designated spot, please give your name to library staff to confirm that we are giving you the correct materials. Retrieve materials from cart when it is placed in a designated spot so that staff can maintain social distancing.

Book Returns

1. Returns may be made through curbside service on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am to 1:00 p.m.

2. Upon arrival, park in the designated spot at the back of the Temple of Justice or stand (if you are not driving) next to the designated spot. Look for orange cones with a “Curbside Pickup” sign. Please park in the striped zone and do not use any other parking spots.

3. Call 360–357–2136 (printed on sign) and let library staff know you are here for curbside return. Please notify staff of any special needs or instructions. If you do not have a cell phone, please call 360–357–2136 to set up an appointment.

4. Drivers: When library staff places the return cart in the designated location, please place books on cart. Please do not exit your vehicle until the cart is in place. If you are unable to exit your vehicle to return the books, please let library staff know where books are located in your vehicle when you call and have doors or trunk unlocked or open.

Walkers: Place materials on cart when it is placed in a designated spot so that staff can maintain social distancing.
