Walk around Shanghai: further down Jianguo road.

Today, let’s start from our previous walk and venture further east down Jianguo road — it will allow us to experience the eclecticism of traditional Shanghai culture, markets and ramshackle houses, and recently built high-rises. Two traditional markets will stand out, the first one inside a hall, and the second on on the street.

These are pictures from 2014 — and while the market while still there last time I walked past — the area is in constant flux.
