The Wanchain team is delighted to announce the launch of a new pillar of the Wanchain ecosystem: XStake! XStake is an innovative, web-based platform designed to house a variety of infrastructure-supporting staking opportunities. It embodies Wanchain’s commitment to security, convenience and intuitive design. Importantly, XStake streamlines the process of delegating WAN tokens to Wanchain PoS Validator nodes and Wanchain Bridge Nodes. XStake is set to revolutionize how individual users interact with and contribute to the Wanchain Layer 1 blockchain and, in time, other supported networks and protocols.
The Present
Today, XStake provides users with two types of staking options. The first of these allows users to participate in securing the Wanchain Layer 1 blockchain by delegating WAN to Wanchain PoS Validator Nodes and participating in Galaxy Consensus. This staking option encourages participation in the Wanchain Layer 1 blockchain and creates a more democratic and resilient network. The second staking option supports the Wanchain Bridge. Users can now use XStake to increase the cross-chain capacity of the blockchain industry’s premier cross-chain bridge by delegating WAN into Wanchain Bridge (Storeman) Nodes. Both initial staking options yield daily rewards and bolster the robustness and security of the Wanchain ecosystem.

Unique Advantages
Prior to the launch of XStake, these important staking options were only accessible via the WanWallet Desktop and WanWallet Mobile apps. XStake boasts numerous advantages over the WanWallet suite:
- Convenience: as a web-based staking platform, XStake removes the need for dedicated applications. Instead, users can access all staking opportunities using Metamask or the web3 wallet of their choice.
- Flexibility: XStake works equally well on both personal computers and mobile devices, allowing each user to engage with XStake in their preferred manner. As an additional bonus, users can also access XStake directly in MetaMask Mobile.
- Comfort: With the single click of a button, users can toggle between XStake light mode and XStake dark mode.
The Future
XStake is poised to become a crucial pillar of the Wanchain ecosystem. Beyond the two staking options present at launch, several upgrades are already in the works. In the near term, both PoS Validator and Bridge (Storeman) Node deployment will be possible using XStake. After that, users can expect staking options for non-WAN assets.
