Throughout 2019, numerous different projects were supported by Waves in one way or another. They have done an excellent job in growing our ecosystem and building solutions to attract new users. Let’s hear the latest news from these projects.

Auctionlance

Auctionlance is a P2P freelance marketplace built on the Waves blockchain. It enables users to easily find web designers, graphic designers, programmers, developers, writers, editors and other professionals, using WAVES, BTC, and other popular cryptocurrencies.

As Auctionlance moves towards building a digital marketplace where everyone can buy and sell Ride scripts, source code, templates, graphical elements, etc, the project was awarded a 3,000 WAVES grant. This was made to fund implementation of a payment system for freelancer hiring, escrow smart contracts under the Byzantine Protocol, a deal dispute resolution system and Waves Keeper integration.

Recently, the company launched a beta version of its platform. Users can already sign up as either a client or freelancer. Freelancers can browse jobs and bid on open tasks, while clients can create jobs and hire freelancers.

Auctionlance’s plans for 2020 include a search feature, web push notifications, an auto-payout system and ranking and rating features.

MaDaMa Labs

MaDaMa Labs recently launched the first smart-contract powered version of European roulette on the Waves platform. The project was financed by a grant from Waves.

Nearly 97,000 transactions have been run on the network, involving 132,231 tokens and over 300 users, according to dAppOcean. The roulette’s smart contract code is available here.

Signature Chain

Signature Chain developer Christophe Verdot, who is also Waves’ Ambassador for France and the Philippines, has launched Waves Dev France, a French language YouTube channel devoted to Waves technology and the Ride programming language.

He also completed implementation of a white-listing feature that will allow our ambassadors and partners to receive free certification credits to use the service. The service now also facilitates giving away free certifications to potential users/clients for testing, etc.

In other developments, Christophe updated the “Buy with fiat” feature to enable users to buy the service’s SIGN token, which works best for ecosystems of multiple dApps. Alternatively, users can buy credit instead.

The most recent features introduced include user-friendly mass transfer functionality and new book certification. The dApp has been listed on dAppOcean and DappReview.

Digilira Pay

Digilira has recently taken part in a number of blockchain events, including Startup Istanbul Top 100 Finals, Demo Day of Startup Istanbul 2019 and KWORKS National Innovation Summit.

Digilira also participated in the Big Bang Start-Up Challenge competition, held by ITU Çekirdek Early Stage Incubation Center, where it had the opportunity to explain how DigiliraPAY works to a wider audience.

Nyan Cats

Nyan Cats has launched a New Leaderboard update. The presale of the project’s token was also completed.

Nyan Cats continues to implement new gameplay and promises lots of interesting developments ahead.

MyWish

MyWish was awarded a Waves Labs grant to provide Waves users with a convenient interface for creating, testing, deploying and executing STO smart contracts. The smart contract template was recently reworked to enable all users to buy created tokens. A user can therefore create a Waves-based token and immediately start selling it. This applies to utility, security and any other types of tokens.

A separate update allows users to disable the whitelist function, so the service can work as an ICO contract.

In other news, refactoring of LostKey & Lastwill contracts has begun. These will gain a new interface and properties. Ducatus blockchain development is in progress. Finally, MyWish was included in the ratings of the best Russian blockchain infrastructure platforms, alongside IBM, Microsoft and others.

Fullblock Solutions

Fullblock Solutions plans to release its app in the near future. The project has reported its preliminary results.

RentApp

RentApp, a sharing economy platform where anything can be rented by anyone, is extending the concept of ‘Own To Rent’ (OTR) to generate income from everyday items in situations when other users need them for a short time period or as a trial before purchase.

Following the initial beta release of the app, which received positive feedback, RentApp is now working on a pitch for private investors.

In the meantime, after the main developer decided to break his contract and part with the project, RentApp is actively looking for a developer with knowledge of the Ride language as well as React Native and mobile app development experience. The project encourages potential applicants to reach out over Telegram or by email at contact@rentapp.io.

Blockchain Сars

The Warsaw-based blockchain-based car sharing service uses a SmartKey system for accessing cars.

Recently, Blockchain Cars struck a partnership deal with major auto manufacturer KIA, as well as another car sharing company, Click2Go. Blockchain Cars’ team also collected the best regional project award at Web Summit.

The SmartKey token has already launched on Waves.

Nolik

Nolik, a secure blockchain-based messenger service, is streamlining its strategy and focusing on the B2B segment, which has shown the best response to date.

The project’s team is working on a major update that will feature, among other improvements, a new account management system that enables blocking access for an organization’s former employees.

Waves World

Waves World is a major Waves node, automated marketplace and blockchain loyalty program where participants are rewarded with Waves World (WW) tokens for a wide range of contributions that add value to the overall Waves and Waves World ecosystems. Tokens can be used to purchase products and services on the WW Marketplace or traded on Waves.Exchange for other currencies.

The loyalty program has two parts. The first is the Waves World node distribution of 100% of forged WAVES, plus additional WW tokens each week to its lessors. The second part of the loyalty program is The Top 300 Club. The top 300 holders of WW tokens receive automatic daily airdrops to their Waves wallets.

Ventuary DAO recently hosted a Dev Bounty contest. The winners included:

Digital art auction

The dApp is focused on buying and selling digital art. A seller can download a piece of digital art, get a voucher and sell it at auction. Buyers, in turn, bid for lots, and the one who offers the highest price will receive the voucher.

RiskRide

The major aim of this dApp is to provide a business process that allows projects (or other initiatives in general) to undertake a solid risk management process.
