Token-gating ETHDenver 2023 experiences: Welook <> ETHDenver partner for the #YearOfTheSpork
Live events have been an essential part of Web3 for many years. They work as an immersive experience for newbies, developers, and business people to dive into the technology, ideas, tools, and vibes that make up the deGen and reGen culture.
In an industry where workers are increasingly isolated, in-person events are one of the best places to learn what is trending and making a difference worldwide.
ETHDenver has seen geometric growth since its 2018 start, evolving into what founder John Paller calls “the largest live-action Web3 experience in the world. It is a festival of #BUIDL Culture.”

While attending ETHDenver 2022, Welook’s founder, Angelo, found the market fit and concept validation which directly led to the creation of Welook.io.
Welook has brought many fantastic Web3 event solutions to life throughout 2022. We added a personal web3 WeCard, IRL token gating, NFT tickets, simple POAP distribution, and so much more in 2022. We have learned how to bring even more WOW! experiences to live events in 2023.
A partnership made to last
We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with ETHDenver, the largest and longest-running Web3 event in the world: #ETHDenver 2023: #YearoftheSpork.
Welook is the technology partner bringing IRL token-gated experiences to participants of the #BUIDLathon, workshops, innovation festival, and more.
The first deliverable of this huge partnership is: Ticketing. Welook’s NFT Tickets allow the their community members to claim general admission and SporkWhale (VIP) tickets with their web3 wallet.
Over the next few weeks, we will continue to announce a series of cool experiences and benefits that will be token-gated via Welook’s bnfts protocol.

How will Welook enhance the ETHDenver participant experience?
The ETHDenver community may claim their event ticket via a Web3 wallet or, for those who have no wallet, an email link. ETHDenver has also implemented a staking system, which allows members to stake SporkDAO tokens ($SPORK) for preferential approval or upgraded SporkWhale tickets.
We are also working to finalize details of token-gated perks for attendees during each stage of the event. The #BUIDLathon, workshops, open-source side events and more will all benefit from blockchain credentialing.

ETHDenver is the largest Web3 hackathon in the world for Ethereum and other blockchain protocol enthusiasts, designers and developers.
#BUIDLWeek kicks things off, February 24th to March 1st; culminating in ETHDenver main event weekend, March 2nd to 5th.

ETHDenver is free to attend for approved applicants. Applications are based on interest in blockchain technology and demonstrated ability to code, design, or otherwise meaningfully contribute to a project.
After your application is approved by SporkDAO’s applications stewards, you’ll receive an email with a unique Welook URL to claim your ETHDenver 2023 ticket.
