Let us introduce you to Liraz Siri and David Allen Cohen — WePower’s new advisory board members that we are more than happy to welcome in our team. These two passionate professionals and true pioneers in their fields will help us to ensure security and provide the best user experience for all users of WePower.
Liraz — our security commander
To begin with — Liraz Siri got into the game early and fiercely — at the young age of 18 he scanned the entire Internet for vulnerabilities. It comes to no surprise that later on he co-founded a cyber unit of the Israeli army and TurnKey Linux, which powers & protects 100,000+ servers worldwide and became, as he describes himself — a paranoid white hacker. He was also an early Bitcoin supporter.
Today, he evangelizes open source, crypto & decentralization, while commercializing failure-tolerant security for high-risk applications (WO/2007/066333).
Liraz is passionate not only about cyber security but also about our planet and its future — “It’s nice to be part of a strong team that is using smart contracts on the blockchain to keep our planet habitable. Looking forward to making a dent.”

Liraz advices WePower on security matters. Currently he is working on an article where he will share key points every token sale should have in mind in order to mitigate risks. It will touch everything from security guiding principles to communicating with investors in a way that mitigates the risk for your website to be compromised undetected and the funding instructions to be replaced. David A. Cohen — our energy advisor
David A. Cohen — another new exciting and strong addition to our team. If you’re familiar with decentralized software industry — David needs no introduction. He was the founder and CEO of Infotility where he pioneered the “Grid Edge” unlocking multi-billion dollar software markets and creating the industries first artificial intelligence-based software platform — GridAgents™. Later on David expanded his field of competence and started working more with energy sector and crypto world.
As co-founder of Silicon Energy he pioneered the world’s first Virtual Power Plant based on Silicon Energy’s EEM Suite™ which was sold to Itron (NASDAQ: ITRI). As Chief Strategy Officer for the Car Charging Group, he assisted in the M&A of Ecotality and the Blink NetworkTM which became the largest electric vehicle charging services company in the world. As co-founder and COO of ZipPower, he was the creator of a social media platform to engage energy prosumers and enable peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading.
David was named as one of the Top 100 Movers and Shakers in the SmartGrid by Greentech and is a founding member Emeritus of the GridWise Architecture Council. He has served as advisor or board member of over 15 high tech companies and WePower is happy to join the list!

David has worked with many different energy sector’s developments, such as smart grids, P2P energy trading, virtual power plant etc. Many of them will be innovated by WePower during our journey towards virtual utility concept. We are happy to merge David’s experience, knowledge and network together with experience of our development team, which is led by Kaspar Kaarlep and which has implemented smart grid and smart metering systems nation-wide in Estonia.
