Dear community,

We’ve started WePower with a promise to drive green energy adoption across the globe. From day one we believed that this mission will resonate with many but we have not imagined that such an overwhelming support so fast.

Our green community is growing every day with people as well as companies from across the Globe joining our mission.

We actively listen to you every day and based on your feedback we’ve decided to make few adjustments to the token sale:

1. Introducing individual caps

We want to create an equal opportunity for everyone to participate in the public token sale and this is why we are introducing personal contribution caps. Caps will be applied for the first 5 hours of the token sale starting on February 1, at 12:00 (noon) UTC. The exact individual caps will be determined and announced next week. WePower is still going through a large backlog of KYC applications, which needs to be cleared before the final calculations are made.

2. Closing of the whitelisting

We have one of the fastest growing communities and the number of whitelisted contributors is already at the record high. However, this fantastic result also means that the possible token allocation per every contributor is becoming increasingly smaller. This is why we are closing the whitelisting earlier than expected. Only the contributors approved until 12:00 UTC, January 17th, will be eligible to participate in the public token sale. Members who will apply before the closing time, but due to possible delays receive confirmations later, will still be eligible to participate in the token sale.

3. Additional seats in the token sale

We will reserve 1,000 seats for randomly selected people who whitelisted their wallets after the 12:00 UTC, January 17th. Our website visitors will be introduced to this change in detail when registering for the token sale. We expect to over 50k approved wallets before closing the whitelisting. These extra seats will not have any major impact on the individual caps.

4. Closing the affiliate program

We appreciate the effort made by our affiliate program members to spread the awareness of the upcoming token sale. It would be unfair to limit the number of token sale participants and at the same time invite new participants to join our affiliate program. Therefore, WePower won’t be accepting new affiliate program participants starting from 12:00 UTC, January 17th. Already approved affiliate program members will be able to continue promoting WePower if they choose to do so given the changes mentioned above.

5. Accepting only ETH.

Due to the necessity of individual caps, we had to modify our token sale smart contract. In order to make this modification fully functional and secure with the time constraints we have, some of our payment partnerships had to be changed. As a result, we regret to inform you that we will not be accepting other currencies than ETH during our token sale. Therefore, it will also not be possible to buy tokens using BlockEx services.

Once again, thank you for your support! It is great to have you all in the Green Family! It has been a fascinating journey so far. We have never been more excited about the future!
