The purpose of this blog is to express my love for science, science fiction, and sci-fi fantasy. I will extrapolate my knowledge of science to analyze fictional stories and speculate about what may be possible in the real world. I will strive to make sure my hypotheses are reasonable and clarify that they are just that: hypotheses. I will always try to back every idea I share with physical phenomena either discovered or hypothesized by scientists and make corrections when I realize I’ve made an error or misunderstood a concept. I don’t want to cause any misunderstandings about the validity of outrageous claims or fall into the territory of pseudoscience. I simply want to do my best to explain how even outrageous concepts may have analogues that coincide with scientific facts. In short, I’m here to assess the objective realism of science fiction and share the products of my own reasoning and imagination.
