What we’re reading (and listening to):

Organizations that learn the quickest seem the most likely to succeed over the long haul. Shipping is probably the best known way to do this but is by no means the only way. “The first key to communication is to communicate. You need to find avenues and channels that are good for your organization and are effective for your organization”. Index Venture’s Ilya Fushman talks about ways to keep a product team focused and aligned as the organization scales in size as well as things to consider when thinking about building successful platforms. Check out Growing Products into Platforms.

“Reading Product books by yourself is a waste of time” say Sandi Macphearson and Anna Marie Clifton. Each week, the ladies choose Product-related books to discuss on their podcast. Listen to the inaugural episode of Clearly Product.

Rose Yao writes about the importance of articulating product and brand strategy to help teams make better decisions and deliver great product experiences. Read more about this in Startup life: branding, design, product.
