Heather Murschel is a 2002 graduate of Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota, where she currently resides. With a degree in journalism and mass communications, she has spent almost a decade working for newspapers in South Dakota and in Oregon. She has held positions as a general assignment reporter, an assistant editor and managing editor during her time with both the Willamette Weekly in Portland and at the Black Hills Pioneer in Spearfish. Her talents are broad in scope, but essentially she provides a writing service for those who cannot write themselves. She specializes in researching content for feature articles, news releases, case studies and web content. Words By … is also capable of contracting with local business owners with marketing efforts by publishing social media content on a regular basis to increase a web presence and keep them relevant in the ever-changing world of technology. When she’s not writing, Heather enjoys socializing with her friends and family, reading and doing anything that encompasses the great outdoors.
