Another (standard) workweek in the books.

You might have heard there’s a little ol’ World Cup going on. We’ve been kicking around code over the past week like it’s an Adidas Telstar football.

Though we have to admit, witnessing the failed throw-in from the Iranian player in the dying seconds did derail us just for a moment 😖.

Sure, there were a few “dancing on desk” celebrations, a couple of inter-department rivalries that got out of hand, and a bit of hooting and hollering, but all of that just made the workweek more colorful.

Speaking of colors, you may have noticed a changes to the login screen this week!

What’s New This Week

Social Registration Registration and Login

We’ve opened up social authentication. That means you can both register and sign in with your favorite social app, with support for Linkedin, Facebook, Google Plus, Twitter, Line and Kakao Talk for our friends in Korea and k-pop fans all around the world:

If you do check out Kakao Talk, my favorite character is Frodo (though I am of the opinion that they should add a fox character sooner than later).

workID Public Registration Now Open

Good news! We’ve gone PUBLIC with workID, meaning that we no longer require an invitation code to sign up. Instead of waiting, cut to the front of the line and make your very own immutable CV (now with support for social login — see above 😉). Here’s the link.

Slick New White Paper

Our design team has gone all out to bring to you the brand new white paper (in coded format). Instead of the Chevy, you now have access to the Rolls Royce of white papers. We’ll announce the link soon in our social channels, so be sure to join our Telegram group.

Application Dashboard — Verify Your Account

We’ve added support to verify your social accounts directly within the application dashboard. All it takes is the click of a button!

Admin Login Updates

For now, only those with admin logins will directly benefit but when we win, you win too amiright? We’ve made it easier for our team to log into the app, smoothing out processes on our end so we can speed up progress. Hyper-speed development initiated.

Bug Fixes

A total of 23 logged bugs have been fixed (new WorkChain.io world record!). Go us.
workID deletion feature now now does what you’d expect (but if you were expecting it to do something like take out the trash for you, you’re still out of luck).
If you’ve had issues with resizing your browser inside the app and noticed some “snapping”, we’ve now smoothed things over.
You may have noticed a broken link for the white paper in the header. It now works as it should. Headers make a big difference, both in the World Cup and on websites.
