Inefficiency and lack of focus are ruining our productivity

First things first — you need to set out a list of things you need to accomplish in one day. Ideally this list should be made the night before so you can have a plan of the entire day. Everyone will want to arrange their days separately, but here I will mention some key aspects of the day and their importance. I wrote articles about routines and morning workouts.

Sleeping

Sleeping is probably the most important thing to maximize productivity. Waking up tired and sleepy is the perfect recipe for disaster. You will feel the need to take naps and loss focus often. A simple fix — set yourself a time to sleep every night and follow it! Your body will automatically get used to that time and you will find yourself waking up at the same time every day. This doesn’t have to be at 6am every day. It has to be a time that ensures you’re well rested and making the most of your day.

Eating

Good nutritious food keeps you going for longer. Eating a well-balanced diet will keep your concentration and focus for longer periods of time. It will also reduce your cravings and energy swings that we often get from refined sugar. Eating healthy will give you a mental boost too because it will push you to achieve more every day. You start the day with a healthy breakfast and your brain knows that it’ll be a good day today. Your drive and passion to achieving goals will be superior with a healthy diet.

Working out

Exercise is key to mental and physical health. A good workout can boost for the rest of your day. Working out in the morning can give you the perfect kick to be productive for the rest of the day. It also you to plan the rest of the day knowing you’ve already finished your workout. It is essential to vary your workouts to keep you excited and challenged — whether it’s a workout you dread or one that you love

Every single one of us have our own ways of staying productive and accomplishing our tasks during the day. There is no set rule about maximizing productivity but it’s about finding what works best for each one of us. There are unexpected calls, invitations and activities that come up throughout the day but there are a few key things that we must all do right to stay healthy and happy.
