What’s the Difference?

Once you get what you want

I’ve always dreamt of having a million fans. I want the life where I get recognized wherever I go. I want a million dollars in my bank account, drive a lambo and have a huge mansion by the hills.

And then I’ll vlog all about my baller lifestyle and show to the world how powerful and influential I am. This will get me millions of subscribers and this will propel me to make more brand deals. And then more money.

But my wife would ask me — if you do get to have those things, then what’s next? What’s the difference?

Will it make you a better writer, podcaster or filmmaker?

That wakes me up from the illusion.

It’s a smoke screen.

It’s a mirage.

Nothing will change once I get a million fans. I will still continue to write, speak and film. I will continue to get better with my craft.

Wanting to have a million fans has nothing to do with creativity. It’s all ego-driven. Cause the ego craves for fame and attention.

I don’t want a million dollars, I just don’t want to think about paying next month’s bills. I just need to have a steady stream of income to sustain my lifestyle.

The most important thing is having an impact and helping others. The rest is by-product of the value I’m giving to others.

Do you also want to have a million fans? A million dollars? Or a huge mansion?

Think again on what it is you truly want.

Will it make you a better creator? Will it hone your craft?

Talk to you soon my friend.
