What is ZOM?

ZOM is a cryptocurrency utilized in the health and wellness sector. ZOM is designed to provide consumers with access to health and wellness services at reduced rates ranging from 5%-15% whilst offering tamper proof records of such transactions.

Why was ZOM created and by whom?

ZOM was created by Yazom Limited, a technology company in the Caribbean Island of Jamaica that specializes in the health and wellness space. Yazom has been providing its products and services to medical and pharmaceutical professionals since 2014. ZOM was created as the blockchain and cryptocurrency initiative of Yazom in an effort to engage consumers in valuing their health and wellness more than they usually would by providing incentives to do so.

Yazom Limited’s experience within the health and wellness sector over the last five years gives us a good chance as anyone to deliver an alternative to financing health and wellness endeavours. We have an existing and ever growing user base of medical and pharmaceutical professionals whilst also developing for a potential consumer market.

ZOM Economics

ZOM currently has a total supply of < 50,000,000 with a circulating supply of approximately 46,000,000. The supply uses a balance method in which their is an increase of 5% annually but uses of ZOM for the health and wellness sector result in a 25%–50% burn of tokens.

Five (5) Interesting Facts of ZOM

1. Re-brand — ZOM’s Parent Company, Yazom Limited rebranded from Potion Owl in a marketing move to conjure a two syllable word that could be used as a verb (for e.g. Yazom It and Yazom Me) and be more attractive to institutional investors as potential global brand.
2. Yazom Five (5) — The Yazom 5 is Yazom’s public figure marketing initiative that features public figures from the company’s territory in an effort to promote Yazom and ZOM. The first reveal saw Ms. Davina Bennett, Ms. Universe (2nd Runner Up) promoting the brand on social media prior to rebranding and sending a s/o to the Telegram community as well. It is anticipated that new public figure will be revealed once every quarter until the total five has been exhausted. The next public figure is anticipated for release during December 2019.
3. Expansion — On record there are 34 territories in the Caribbean with a total population of 81 million, for perspective this is more than Canada and California combined. Yazom began its journey in Jamaica but will continue its expansion in 2020 with an expectation to complete all remaining 33 by the end of 2020. (See expansion plans here for more detail)
4. ZOM Med Rep — These are essentially reward nodes of which currently only 150 exists. What’s the key difference between ZOM Nodes and traditional nodes? Well, we believe that in order for us to reach critical mass we must adopt an ‘official distributor’ approach. A Med Rep Node not only earns you more than traditional holders but also provides you with the ability to vote on health and wellness DApps as well as apply for a license to distribute official ZOM products and services (More on this in the future). 5. Major Clients and Partnerships — Currently, Yazom Limited is working on several major client and partnership announcements that honed their reputation outside of the blockchain and cryptocurrency arena. We will begin unveiling in the latter stages of Q4. Many of these companies will be utilizing ZOM.
