The goal of this blog series is to share some of the lessons learned as we evolved Yik Yak from early-stage startup code running in Amazon Web Services to an eventual incremental rewrite, re-architecture, and live-migration to Google Cloud Platform. By sharing our journey with the engineering community, we hope to help other startups benefit from our findings, avoid running into some of the same issues we encountered and find useful implementation tips for your own processes.
