Yoga of Doom is a space for critical discussion of the industry using the word ‘yoga’ to sell products, “lifestyle,” and sanity. It is a consermerist and therefore annihilating industry, promoting rajas+tamas rather than sattva, hence “of doom.” It is also meant to invoke the orientalist movie “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” and other words used alongside yoga that are actually a distortion of yoga.
