Welcome to Your Pets at Home! We are a pet publication on Medium looking for writers. Our publication is dedicated to the delightful quirks and intriguing behaviors of our four-legged companions. Whether you’re curious about why your dog gives you the side-eye or why cats follow you to the bathroom, we offer practical tips for all your pet-related questions.

Here’s What You Need to Know:
Preferred Writers: We welcome contributions from pet enthusiasts, veterinarians, trainers, and anyone passionate about animals (dogs and cats especially). Even if you don’t fall into these categories, we encourage you to submit your original, unpublished stories for consideration.
Content Focus: We value originality and authenticity. We’re looking for stories and articles that are engaging, informative, and well-researched, or based on personal experiences with pets.
Story Priorities: We prefer pieces that offer unique insights into pet behavior, useful tips for pet care, or creative takes on pet-related topics.
Topics: To improve your chances of publication, please include at least three pet-related topic tags. Some examples are Pets, Pet Care, Pets and Animals, Dogs, Cats, Dog Owners, Puppy Care, and so on.
AI-Assisted Writing: We prioritize 100% original, creative content. While AI-assisted contributions are allowed, they must be clearly labeled within the first two paragraphs. Purely AI-generated content without substantial human input will not be accepted.
Photo Sourcing: Please ensure all images used in your articles are properly credited. We encourage original photography where possible.
Payment: We believe in compensating our writers. Stories behind Medium’s paywall are preferred to ensure you receive payment for your work. Learn more about how to get paid for your contributions here.
Original Content: Please submit draft or already published stories that have not been published anywhere else online.
Profanity: Articles with inappropriate language will be edited or removed. Submissions are more likely to be published if they avoid offensive language.
Response Time: We aim to review all submissions within 72 hours, though this timeframe is not guaranteed.
